Job Purpose

Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth execution of all operational activities related to mutual funds, investment accounts, and portfolio management services. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, operational accuracy, and timely processing of transactions to support the company’s investment management and client servicing objectives.
Core Responsibilities

Transaction Processing and Fund Operations

  • Execute and verify daily mutual fund transactions including investments, redemptions, conversions and transfers.
  • Reconcile Operational records with the registrar and custodian.
  • Coordinate with fund accountants and trustees for accurate and timely fund valuations.

Settlement and Reconciliation

  • Assist in settlement of trades (equity, money market, and fixed income) in coordination with the investment and finance teams.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, investment portfolios, and custodian records.
  • Ensure resolution of breaks/discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance and Regulatory Reporting

Client and Distributor Support

  • Assist in the onboarding process of new distributors and investors from an operational perspective.

System and Process Management

  • Work with IT and system vendors to ensure smooth functioning of fund management and back-office systems.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend automation or procedural improvements.
  • Maintain accurate operational data and records for internal and external audits.

Reporting and Coordination

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS for management review.
  • Coordinate with finance, compliance, investment, and sales departments for inter-departmental requirements.
